There's a pair of Canada geese who nest every year near the entrance to my school. They're actually pretty chill, considering all the noisy, smelly yard apes running around their territory - you have to get pretty close for them to get all hissy at you. Anyway, yesterday I saw a couple of little bundles of fluff poking out from under Mama's wing as I was leaving yesterday, so I made sure to bring a camera today, and I managed to catch them right as Mama was taking her little fluffballs out for a walk. ^_^ (The nest is kind of on a raised planter, so the chicks won't be able to run off into the street or anything. Not until they're older, anyway.)
Also, I haven't seen Papa Goose in a while, but there's dishes of food and water by Mama Goose, so someone must be looking after them.
Mama keeps a close eye on her little ones.
And, of course, they don't stray too far from her.
This is my favorite picture. ^_^
Followed by this one. I just like the angle.
"Mom! Hey Mom! Mooom!"
It's like they were posing for me. ^_^
Without video, it's impossible to express the tumbly, toddly cuteness of these chicks.
